Home Insurance Claim File Workspace
Organize damage, expenses, conversations, and next actions in one browser-based ledger. Your entries stay on this device unless you choose to export them.
Claim overview
Use a short nickname rather than a full policy or claim number, especially on a shared device.
Damage record
Connect each affected area or item with a concise description and its evidence.
| Room / area | Item or component | Damage observed | Evidence reference | Status | Remove |
|---|
Expense ledger
A receipt shows a purchase; the reason field explains how it relates to the loss. Coverage depends on the policy and facts.
| Date | Category | Vendor | Amount | Reason / context | Receipt reference | Remove |
|---|
Payment ledger
Record each payment, check, depreciation release, supplement, or mortgage draw separately. The total is a transaction summary, not a coverage calculation.
| Date | Payment type | Issuer | Amount | Payees | Supporting reference | Status | Remove |
|---|
Communication log
Record material calls, emails, portal messages, decisions, and promised follow-up.
| Date | Person / organization | Channel | Subject and notes | Promised follow-up | Remove |
|---|
Action list
Give each open request or deadline an owner, due date, and status.
| Action | Owner | Due date | Status | Supporting record | Remove |
|---|
Export, print, or restore your workspace
Browser storage can be cleared by device settings, privacy tools, or browser changes. Export a JSON backup if you want to restore the editable workspace later. CSV is useful for a spreadsheet; print creates a readable snapshot.
How to use this workspace responsibly
Preserve original evidence
Use the evidence reference field to point to photographs, receipts, estimates, or messages stored elsewhere. This workspace does not upload or store the files themselves.
Separate facts from estimates
Describe what you observed and label uncertain dates or amounts as estimates. Do not treat the recorded expense total as a coverage or settlement calculation.
Check policy-specific instructions
Your policy, insurer, type of loss, mortgage arrangements, and state requirements can change the process. Confirm important requirements with the appropriate source.
